Replacing valve core in valve stem after trying to fix a flat?
The tool I used to remove the valve core from the valve stem of my bicycle won't go back in with spring action to allow air in/out anymore. I removed the core to fill it with a tube of glue I bought. Any ideas??? Also, I bought a 27 x 1 1/4 size tube and it won't fit my 27 x 1 1/4 size tire. Why not? My old tube did say 27 x 1/8 to 1 1/4". What's the difference? Should I get my money back?
You've discovered why anti-flat sealers are a bad idea. They clog the valve. After a while, you won't be able to pump up the tire.
As for size, there shouldn't be a problem. Schwinn 27" rims used to be a bit different size than everyone else, so that was a problem for tires, but it shouldn't make a difference with the tube.
