Ammachi: full expression of generosity and love
The first time I entered the concert hall welcomes me a burst of sensory information india music fills the room, hundreds of people running around and not a small market in the back of the room devoted to the sale of a wide variety of spiritual products eager buyers. All the activity reminds me of the wonderful chaos of India and for a moment I forget I'm actually in the Manhattan Center in downtown New York City. All the world gathered for one purpose, to have the opportunity to be in the presence of what many consider a living saint.
I find myself once again visiting the "hugging saint" Amritanandamayi, or Ammachi Amma is also called. Be familiar with the environment I feel at home, but I'm curious As for what my friend Bill, who first brought me and who is not familiar with something like this, you will experience.
The evening begins with a simple program. Amma talks about the virtues of unconditional love and generosity, leads a group with the singing of bhajans or devotional songs and guides us to a brief meditation. Mata Amritanandamayi was born in southern India in 1953 with the name Sudhamani. Biographers describe his early life as a challenge, but stress is significant Sudhamani ability to remain calm, cheerful and generous, no matter what the situation. Amma was the first to consecrate priests of India, and his teachings emphasize the equality of all human beings.
In his speech to United Nations 2002, said: "What is most important eye, the left or right? Both are equally important. It's the same with the status of men and women in society ... Men and women must support each other. Only in this way can we maintain the harmony of the world. "

In the art of relaxation:

The love and freedom
