Bicycle making noise?
I am new to biking. I have a Cyclo cross bike and its still in the breaking in period. I already know how to adjust the breaks and have had to mess with the derailleurs. My question is that when I really dig in in my lowest gear, the bike makes a sound of metal rubbing. I figure it has to do with the chain an derailleur, but I'm not sure. Why does it make sounds only when I pedal hard? Any suggestions on how to fix this?
Adjust the cable so the derailleur is further away from the chain. Are you using the correct gear combinations ? You don't want to use the largest chain ring in the front with the larger gears on the rear. Cables stretch a lot when new and need adjusted.
