EVO food for Aussie Puppy?!?

Hey Everyone,

Quick question. I currently feed my dog Iams Smart Puppy. This is awful food though, and hes been getting dandruff as a result.

I've decided to switch. Narrowed down to 4 brands: Chicken Soup, EVO, Orjen, California Natural. The lady at the store reccomended California Natural (she thought my dog had sensitive skin), but after reading stuff about it, I've decided against it. I really like EVO and want to start integrating that tomorrow. The question is: what kind of EVO?

Or should I try something else??

I feed EVO Red Meat, small bite formula. My dog prefers the taste of red meat, and she prefers smaller kibble size. The distinction in formula is mostly going to be based on two things: taste, and kibble size. All the formulas have about the same protein and mineral content.

If you know your puppy prefers the taste of poultry, go with their chicken flavor. If he's more of a red meat guy, like Issabelle, then go with the Red Meat formula. If you're looking for some extra skin protection, try out their fish blend, which is made with salmon.I have heard lots of success on this formula from dogs who have a red meat allergy.

I'm not sure what the kibble size of Iams is, but if it is a larger kibble, you might go with one of their regular bite formulas, just to make the transition smoother.

The great thing is that some stores may have sample size bags for you to try out the different flavors. If your local retailer doesn't, Natura (EVO's manufacturer) will refund your purchase if your dog doesn't care for it.
