Horse Racing: Belmont Stakes 2010

The Belmont Stakes will have an interesting situation on an annual basis. This race has the potential to be the career Most important of all horse racing, but also has the potential to be a race largely irrelevant in the scheme of the sport.

The Belmont Stakes is the third race of the Triple Crown, the most desirable prize in horse racing. A horse and rider to win the Triple Crown by winning the Kentucky Derby, the Preakness Stakes and the Belmont Stakes. If a contestant wins the first two races, then the world has its eyes on the Belmont Stakes. This is the hope of seeing the historic event of someone win the Triple Crown. However, if two different horses win the first two races, the third race is not worth anything more than the prize money for winning the race. Winning is not no contestant to win the Triple Crown race attracts much less attention worldwide. Unfortunately, the 2010 Belmont Stakes had no competitor in the Triple Crown.

The Kentucky Derby was won by Super Saver, Super Saver, but failed to pull out a victory in the Preakness Stakes. After losing in the Preakness determined that the horse would not participate in the Belmont Stakes. Looking for Lucky, winner of the Preakness, just decided to quit the race. This meant no Winners of the first two stages of this Triple Crown in the Belmont Stakes. This provided for a field of unknown or unproven horses to fight to be the winner of the race.

The favorites to win the race Ice Box and First Dude. These two horses had mixed results in the race. Despite being the favorite in general, Ice Box was not able to find success in the race. This horse was mostly irrelevant, finishing sixth overall.

First made its impact Friend feel in the race. First Dude took an early lead and had control of the initial rush. Interactif Dude Uptowncharlie and game were the other horses nearby lobbying for the position. As the race progressed Droselmeyer began to move up the ranks. The horse went along to fly down and was found in 5 th place with a half-mile to go. The horse moves outwards and made an effort to take the lead as the final arrived. Fly down, the horse that was approved only also made a big push at the end of the race.

Drosselmeyer fly down and made so much progress in the ranks until he approached first Dude. First Dude could not hold the lead and both horses went First Dude, First Dude, leaving a 3 rd place. Drosselmeyer was able to maintain his lead and finished as Belmont Stakes winner 2010, while flying down finished a close second.

Jockey Mike Smith was the winner of Drosselmeyer in the 2010 Belmont Stakes.
