Fixed gear chain ring and ask?
I bought this bike a week. http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/motobecane/messenger.htm and wanted update the wheel of a stronger gear (I'm running under brakes), so I have to have something the size of the chain is strong and good.The 3 / 32 and I realized that the mark of the chain I was looking only came in sizes 01/08 (Izumi) that would be a more effective way to go about making my bike better? Should I buy a piece of 3 / 32 and maintain the current chain ring or buy a piece of 8.1 and a 1 / 8 Chain ring and keep the cranks? If it were me, I had just run what you have until it is done and then replace it with something else. Keep tight ferrule and should have no problem with the rear wheel drive unless you really mash up a hill and the chain line is wrong. If you want a strong piece, get a Surly, Stainless Chris King, or a new one. Keep the dish has to carried out, unless you want a different size. A strong brand is good, but you can choose between 3 / 32 "or 1 / 8". Get a dedicated singlespeed chain, although the strings ..... multi-speed work, but a singlespeed will run smoother.
