The creation of Bluetooth headsets
Since its development in 1994 by Ericsson, Bluetooth has been the go-to for connecting fixed devices or mobile over short distances via short-range radio transmissions short wavelength. The most recognizable to consumers are headphones Bluetooth, the small devices is connected to the ears of the people when it looks almost as if they were talking to themselves on the sidewalk. However, technology have more applications than Bluetooth headsets.
Bluetooth is named after the nickname given to the Danish king Harald Gormsson, who ruled as king of Denmark from around 958 AD, and later as King of Norway from about 970 until he was expelled by the Germans some time later. His nickname, "Blatand" ie Blue Tooth in English, is rumored to have come from many sources, two of the most popular are: the love of blue berries, which was so intense that his teeth were stained blue (invented and unlikely), or had some form of gum disease to teeth and gums turned blue (most likely for a tenth century Viking ruler).
Harald part of the legacy as governor was to unite efforts dissidents many tribes throughout Norway, Sweden and Denmark, to a single king. These efforts at unification is the reason Bluetooth is named after Harald: just as he had united the tribes into a society of lonely work, technology Bluetooth for connecting electronic devices. In fact, the Bluetooth logo is a combination of runes that represent the first two letters of their name: H and B.
Technologies such as Bluetooth headsets work by cutting the data in chunks and then projected loads data across up to 79 channels different. These packets are sent to date through radio signals of short wavelength, which are then received by other compatible Bluetooth devices. The idea is two, or even a number of Bluetooth devices can be synchronized to work cooperatively with others. Bluetooth headsets are actually one of the best examples.
A Bluetooth headset can be used to communicate wirelessly with any Bluetooth enabled phone, so that speaking and listening can be managed through headphones small, discrete, while the phone itself (even in your pocket or purse) is responsible for all of their own abilities - such as sending and receiving the actual call. Similarly, Bluetooth can also be used as a means to communicate with gaming consoles such as Playstation 3. Headphones can be used to communicate with the console, which in turn sends the voice data received from the headset to the servers for distribution to other players in an online game - and their voices are similar received by the PS3 and sent via Bluetooth to the headset.
