Ideas for morning bar room located in master suite? what should I include in the room? thanks!?
I have a very large master suite in the basement. It has an office area, living room area, and bed area, along with a bathroom and a standard size spare room off the bathroom. I've been thinking of what to use the spare room for and decided a "morning bar"/"mini kitchen" room would be a good idea. I already have a cabinet/counter piece for the room. I know it needs a fridge, sink, expresso machine, etc., but what else should I include in the room? I plan on having a beach mural in the room, as well as maybe a small bistro table and chair set? Any other ideas of what I can include in the space? I want the master suite to seem like an escape from the rest of the house. Thanks!
honestly I'm not wild about the beach mural, especially if you don't have natural light from a window. if you do go with the beach mural, frame it as though you were gazing out of the window at the beach scene, with solid color walls. go with hard wood floors, like you would find in a beach cafe, or tiles like you would find at an outdoor patio. for the ceiling, you may think about a canvas/umbrella up top. my boyfriend and I stopped at a brewpub for breakfast on vacation, and the atmosphere was a perfect blend of comfort and sophistication. don't attempt to be too beachy, it will affect the resale of your home.
