which bike light combo is better?
Niterider MiNewt Dual VS. 2 CatEye HL-EL530 ????
i use it in the streets and im usually in pretty dark places so i want 2 bright ones to shine the way!
As to which is better, that's a matter of opinion. I think it would depend on what and how often you are using the lights. I run the EL- 530 combo on the Catrike Speed and have never needed anymore light and have never run short of battery's. If you purchase the EL-530 they run approximately $50 each and I believe the Niterider Dual runs some where around $249.00 depending on where you buy them. In my opinion the difference in light isn't worth the extra money you have to spend, and the rechargeable Li-Ion battery's don't only last so long. Battery life on high is1.7 hours on high, Battery life on low 3.5 hours per charge. You can also look forward to purchasing a new system within a couple of years if you use them a lot because the battery's and charging system will not hold up much longer than that at least that has been my experience. Keep in mind the replacement Battery for that light, NiteRider MiNewt/MiNewt.X2 Battery Lithium Ion part # (LT9262) cost $139.49
A big advantage too the EL-530 combo is they can be moved to other bikes without a problem, no extra lines and battery's to move.
