Are ceramic Brake pads the higher quality pad or does that indicate cheaper esp in regard to heat dissapation?
thats what were put in last fall anmd Ive warped the rotors 2 times since. What are Toyota pads made of?
Toyota pads were 100% organic. In That's why their rotors last forever. Ceramic and metallic pads should go 2 -3 weeks driving in town with no sudden stops to break in the pads and new rotors. Did you replace your rotors? Were they made in the USA, Canada or China. The latter is not worth bolting your hubs. Metallurgy in off-shore rotors is not acceptable. Let's fix your problem. I drive a Toyota and I know how long their brakes last__a long time. Camry's go to 60,000 - 80,000 miles on the original set. Why did you decide to change pad material? I'd see if there is enough stock on to rotors to turn them one more time. The problem with this is once the rotors are warped they will warp again because they've been annealed to a lower hardness. Standard Toyota rotors have enough stock on them to be safely machined at least twice. If you buy new ones be sure they are the same new thickness as the originals. I'go back to the factory Toyota pads and factory rotors.
