Is there going to be any way I can get my bike on the center stand myself?
I am five foot three and small. My bike is a gn250. I can get my work bike on the center stand by holding the front handle bar and the rear metal pannier thing but I find it quite hard. I have to count to three and get the momentum going and sometimes it makes me want to chuck.
It would be really beneficial to me to be able to get my own bike on the center stand.
Is there any technique you can reccommend. I have tried and I just can't do it.
Facing the bike from the left side, left hand on the handlebars (just to keep it straight), right hand on some solid grab handle on the bike, right foot on the centerstand. Transmission should be in neutral. Push the stand so it contacts the ground and make sure the bike is upright so that both feet of the centerstand are on the ground. Now here's the important part - stand yourself up straight, keep your right arm straight at the elbow, and push down HARD with your right foot. It'll come right up!
