Red tablecloths bleeding wash nylon winter jacket. The jacket is now pink. How I can fix it?
I washed cotton tablecloths red winter jackets that had white on the outside shell. The jackets are made of nylon. Any suggestions on how to get the pink?
Do not put the jacket in the dryer yet. (It may be too late already?) This is a toughie, because we do not know what kind of dye it is. Come to the oxidation. Chlorine is not good for nylon, but try a non-chlorine bleach or laundry detergent, perhaps one with perborate. Another thought is to wash with something that will bleed a little green so that you end up with a brown jacket instead of a rose.
