What could small red dots on the palm of my hands be?
My sister has small red dots on her palms that just appeared this morning. They look like small little pinpricks of red on her hands. They don't look like pimples, and they aren't warts that are under the skin. Please help
they are a form of hives, i get those often. it is usually an allergic reaction to something that i have come into contact with. sometimes i get them for no apparent good reason at all while other times it has been because of medication.
have her wash her hands and forearms really good and rinse with clear water. if it continues or gets worse, have your mom give her some benadryl. if she still sees no relief but there is no other condition to accompany it such as swelling of the hands, swelling of the face (eyes, lips, ears and even tongue) then probably a routine appointment with your family physician and then a referral to an allergist for further testing to find out what she is allergic to.
any swelling of the face should be considered an emergency situation and get her to an ER - ASAP!!! if her tongue swells she may not be able to breath. sorry to scare you, but just want you to know that it can be serious if you are not alert.
