Hello, i bought this bike for £250, do you think its worth it?

Can't see what the picture is, since I am not signed with Photobucket. However, assuming that the kit is not completely knackered, lets do a quick look.
XT chainset would cost about £150.
XTR Brakes and Shifters are expensive. However, for the shifters alone, about £150 again. Raceface stem £70. Pace RC36 forks viable about the cost of your bike.
The person who said about V brakes doesn't apreciate the philosophy of this bike. It is not some general MTB tool that will do for dark nights and trailcenters. This has a specific purpose.
Extralite frame and saddle give the game away. However, XT and XTR kit are there for one purpose. Combine this with V brakes and you have a bike that has been assembled to be light. The Pace forks are about £350. They are a resonable air fork. This means that they are light.
Have found a picture of the frame. Dodgy rear shock. However, this is a viable machine, circa 2004. You have a lot of expensive kit on your bike designed to keep this machines weight down. This level of kit would usually cost you about £1000 for a hardtail. Your rear shock is a bit heavy and the set of the rear swinger arm means that you will end up with a bouncy rear end. However, this is still a decent bike.
Overall you could sell the spares on this and still make money on it.
