Is this a good buy (Carema Novara road bike)?
So adding to the complexity of buying my first road bike I was offered a Carema Novara road bike (43 cm, 26 "tires, Shimano RSX components without damage or repairs.) For $ 200 It seems that the RSX were the lower end of the series for years Shimano. It serve me this bike through my bike the learning curve. I just want to make some fun sprint triathlons and maybe go to work. Is this a good buy? If these things inexplorable / changable because I love to do the adjustment of the frame.
Any bike that even has entry-level components used levers, and brakes that work well and tires in good condition to keep the air is probably worth $ 200.00. You do not say how old the bike is. From what I saw, the Carema is a decent bike. If parts are very inexpensive (as updates on someone else) could be upgraded. In addition, in road bikes, 26 "wheels are generally referred to as 650c wheels to differentiate them from the 26" wheeled mountain bike type. You can probably find a nice used 650 wheels on eBay, which could be one of the single biggest upgrade you could do for an entry level bike.
