Shimano waterproof seal?
I just got a pair of Shimano mountain bike shoes. They come with "waterproof seals" that are supposed to go underneath the sockliner and over the SPD cleat--is it necessary to put them on the shoe if I'm using the shoes for indoor cycling? It seems that if I put them on, it would be difficult to adjust the SPD cleat. Thanks.
Never heard of waterproof seals on a mountain bike shoe. They need to be vented to keep your feet cool. That alone will allow your feet to get wet. There is a liner inside the shoe that covers the plate for the clips. The cover on the bottom of the shoe gets removed and thrown away when you install the clips..
