speedplay clips???????
iv noticed in my box for the new replacment clips that i got....... the speedplay chromoly zeros. it says for recreational riding only....... what does it mean by that? iv never understood that. does it mean i cant race in them??
o ya! the reason i had to get neww ones is cus in a race the whole pedal flew off the spindle. haha. so they gave me free ones. but like with the x5s it dusnt say say that. and those are sppedplay. and yes. i live in the us
Do you live in the USA? This sort of thing is a result of the litigious atmosphere of consumer retailing in that country. Anybody who buys something there and uses it for high performance sport and experiences an equipment failure looks for someone to blame, so companies try to protect themselves by using disclaimers like this one. By saying that the pedals are for recreational riding only, Speedplay protects itself from legal action. If a racer manages to break a pedal and hurt himself. These pedals are no more likely to break than any other similar product out there.
