Getting a pleasant kids bicycle for my boy
The reason why decide on a ladies bikes above a conventional gents bike?
Almost all mountain bikes or road bikes manufactured are essentially specifically for a man's physique, in older times it used to be primarily men that would use a bike. These days a lot more women are actively cycling, whether just on a leisure basis, commuting to work or more seriously through races etc.
You may ask why a female should opt for a particular ladies bikes ? Ok, so if you start by assessing two equal height individuals, one male and one female, of regular build for the height, there are some obvious distinctions between them right?
Women generally have longer thigh bones along with a shorter torso; they'd also generally have shorter arms compared to the male. This tends to imply for a gent's bike, the reach is just too much for a woman. The reach is the length between the saddle and the handlebars. Although many of the bikes seem to be identical to the gents version, close inspection of the 2 bikes side by side will show you the differences.
If you're a flourishing lady cyclist, I recommend going to your local bike retailer to get a go on a number of ladies bikes, and don't just be fobbed off with the very first bike you are offered. The options isn't large yet, yet it is increasing, and there are ladies bikes available for just about all finances.
