Are Carbon Frame road bikes better than Alu or Titanium.?
I recently purchased an all carbon frame bike and although it's not much lighter than my alu frame bike i have found the ride more comfy and power transfer when out of the saddle amazing. What do you think.
I can understand your preference for Carbon if you like the ride better than your last Aluminum bike, but don't understand what you're basing your comparison regarding Titanium on.
Titanium is nothing like aluminum--or steel either. It's in a class of it's own, just like carbon is. A titanium bike also provides an amazing ride like no other and is just as lightweight and fast, if not more so, however it's also virtually indestructible and theoretically should last forever.
I've ridden carbon, and prefer the ride of my titanium bike. I like the ride of my old "cromo" Schwinn also. Which one is better? Neither actually. They're different types of bikes for different types of riding, and they're both perfect!
Nothing like getting a new bike, is there?
