Will my new hamster find her waterbottle?
I got a big "Crittertrail Three" cage and the water bottle is at the top (where she would have to crawl up two tubes to get to it). I'm afraid she won't find her waterbotte, should I put a dish of water in the cage just in case?
I got one of the critter trail cages too. The water bottle which is blue was dangling from the top. I got worried too, so I bought a different water bottle. I got the kind that attaches to the side of the cage with a little metal thing to hold it in place. They sell them at the pet store. I would prefer you get a different bottle because on my cage he would have to crawl onto the shelf every time he would want to drink water, which would be really annoying.
I'm sure your hamster would find the water bottle and know how to use it. (They are pretty smart that way.) But I would suggest to get a different water bottle. Try to get the kind that has the little metal ball in the little spout the hamsters drink out of. You'll know what I'm talking about if you go to the pet store. You don't have to put a dish because most of the time it would tip over and make a mess in the cage
